For those who qualify, Federal Student Financial Aid is available. Students may also meet with the Financial Aid office to discuss possible payment options.
Building Trades Technician
The Building Trades Technician program at the College for Technical Education offers the right technical skills and work procedures training needed for those who wish to enter this profession. Student fees include the clothing and tools necessary during the class and after subsequent job placement.
The Business Operations professional is designed to meet the needs of the constant and changing needs of the business community. This program reaches wide in personal and professional development as well as the various administrative duties that are required in an office environment. Students will have an understanding of the current business environment and be able to perform the professional services in Microsoft, Human Resources, Sales and understanding Financials.
The study of Cosmetology offers an exciting entry into the beauty industry with positions such as hair stylist, platform artists or make-up artist. The Kentucky State Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists requires 1500 clock hours of education in a Cosmetology school in order to sit for the required licensure exam.
Cosmetology Apprentice Instructor
The primary purpose of the Cosmetology Apprentice Instructor course, is to train the Licensed Master Cosmetologist in the art of instruction, to transition into teaching the basic skills, proper work habits, and desirable attitude necessary to pass the Kentucky State Board of Hairdressers Instructors state exam.
In as little as 39 weeks, the Medical Assistant program prepares students to sit for the AMT Registered Medical Assistant Certification examination, a nationally recognized certification.
The primary purpose Nail Technician course is to train the student in the basic and advanced techniques of Nail Care. This course makes safety and sanitary nail care a priority as determined by the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers. Students who complete the program must sit for Licensure as a Nail Technician in the Commonwealth of Kentucky prior to working in the field as a nail technician.
